I found this channel several years ago and enjoy the straightforward and sensible presentation. I am an Army veteran (back when dinosaurs roamed the Earth) where I served in Germany and was on my battalion rifle team at Ft. Riley Ka. I have been a custom knife and sword-maker for over thirty years and am now sort-of retired. Prior to that I worked for a time at Detonics, worked in private security and law enforcement and shot IPSC competition in the 1980s (I was nothing special in that competition.) I currently have my own channel and work part-time as a firearms instructor and am an amateur gunsmith. I am also a novelist, co-authoring with my wife Linda. We have written science-fiction and fantasy. We live in Seattle, WA.

If there is a local range nearby that rents guns I would suggest renting and firing them to get an idea of what will work for you.
