Over the years I've had the opportunity to review at least ten Sarsilmaz-produced handguns dating back to 2011. I believe the staple on the US market were the CZ-75-based designs, especially when competition thinned as Canik stopped producing theirs. In recent years Sarsilmaz impressed polymer-framed, striker-fired fans with the updates to the SAR 9 line. Now it's time for the steel-framed, hammer-fired guns to get an update.
The 7/24 line are steel-framed, hammer-fired pistols related to the CZ-75 and updated with what modern shooters want on a handgun. More-aggressive front slide serrations, optics readiness, a magazine well, and enhanced traction on major touch points. That list may sounds like a basic blueprint for a handgun in 2026, but it's also a list of features the original CZ-75 did not include.
Who's it For? Steel-framed handguns like the Sarsilmaz 7/24 c are a treat to shoot on the range as their weight soaks up recoil, and hammer-fired guns generally have a crisper, more readable trigger than striker fired pistols. I opted for the compact, but with an unloaded weight over 36 ounces carrying the 7/24 c would require dedication. I believe this line would serve best in the "practical" shooting competitions which require guns to at least somewhat represent what one might carry. Other good homes for the Sarsilmaz 7/24 c might be your home as a bedside gun that is easy to handle and smooth on the range for practice.

For as long as I've been shooting I've known Sarsilmaz to make excellent firearms. The only issue I can recall out of any of them was a batch of bad magazines for the over-sprung ST9. If you've never heard of the ST9 don't worry about it, it's not on the market anymore and mine was made in 2012! Full Magazine +1: Suprisingly some modern guns still struggle with this. It's a test of how much play is in the magazine as well as how the slide cycles with pressure. This is also when I do my best to learn the trigger.
What's For Dinnerâ„¢: A test to see what ammunition the gun will eat. Does the gun feed the round from slide lock, will it cycle and feed another round of the same type, does the slide lock to the rear on empty, and is there any notable point of impact change with different loads.

On the range The Sarsilmaz 7/24 c was a delight to shoot. Just watch newer-shooter Anna's first couple of shots and her reactions to the gun. The pistol's weight soaked up recoil and although the trigger didn't have the most defined of walls, the way it breaks seems to help fight flinch habits a bit. In the summer heat we felt a little slickness on the grip pannels, but the joy of a gun having grip pannels is that traction can easily be changed to fit the user's needs.
When I first picked up the 7/24 c at my local shop the heft made me almost wish I had opted for one of the longer-slide models to simply make it a range king kind of gun, but we discovered the 3.6"-barreled model is still plenty comfortable to shoot while also retaining a size that could serve home defense or other roles.
