OSight Goes Green

OSight X and SE now with green reticles

Last April I skeptically gave OSight a try. I had heard of issues with the first batch of production and stayed away until then. I've since become a fan and bought more than a couple. At the prices these sell for, how could I resist?

The X and S models come with a clever recharging hood that both protects the optic when not in use and charges the optic. Critics, myself included, were concerned that if/when that internal battery goes bad it would render the optic usless. OSight heard those concerns and later released the C and K models which feature a side-loading battery. (NOTE: 7 months and several thousand rounds later and my X and S models are still as good as new.)

Then people wanted enclosed emitter options and OSight again responded with SE model in the RMSC footprint where enlcosed emitters are needed most; on carry guns.

The one thing OSight hadn't done yet that I was hoping for was offer green reticles. Ever since experiencing Viridian Optics I've preffered green reticles. For my eyes, and in the conditions I shoot it they simply seem to grab my eye better. I feel like I spot the reticle better as it contrasts more sharply on the target. I've been buying OSights instead of Viridians mostly for economic reasons. Seriously, You can get an RMSc/K-pattern for $130!

Now OSight has green reticle options.

The compact and enclosed SE with a 6moa dot and the large-windowed RMR-pattern X model are the first to hit the market with a green reticle. Rumble link in case YouTube deletes the video.

You can expect to see these green dots included in future reviews.
