The Sig P365s modularity is something I've taken full advantage of and shown you several configurations in print, video, and on this website. Sig itself continues to highlight the versatility as well with dozens of configurations available direct to the consumer (31 as of the time this was written), and even the Sig Custom Studio where you can design your own configuration for Sig to manufacture and ship to your local FFL.
The Sig P365 DH3 AXG was developed in collaboration with champion shooter Daniel Horner and completes the build I attempted with parts available at the time with my "mini racer" build back in 2023. The similarities are the use of an aluminum grip module with higher capacity and longer slide/shorter barrel to take advantage of Sig's expansion-chamber model of compensation without losing rifling in the barrel. The P365 DH3 AXG slide is longer than what I had at the time and permits for a 3.7" barrel with better ballistic performance.
What Is It? 7.2" long, weighing in just over 25 ounces, and 17-round capacity makes the P365 DH3 AXG one of those "large micro" pistols. While the FCU, magazine design, and slide remain slender like we expect from a "micro", the overall size and weight is closer to a standard compact handgun. The combination makes for a versatile feel in hand that makes for a great range gun, and potential house or carry gun for those comfortable with carrying a ported gun. An additional advantage of Sig's expansion chamber style of porting is that it reduces the the pressure of those redirected gasses; making them relatively safer for carry and defensive scenarios than traditional porting or muzzle-device compensators.
Who's It For? The combined attributes of the P365 DH3 AXG make it a great range or competition gun and give it potential use for carry and home defense. I could easily see this pistol as one P365 fans want to add to their collection to further be able to mix and match P365 options to create their own best build, especially since the DH3-specific grip and slide are not available in the Sig Custom Studio.

Having previously reviewed half a dozen P365 variants, plus my own combinations of parts I was really curious to see how the P365 DH3 AXG would perform on the range, and want to compare it against my similar build from years ago, but first we must establish a baseline. With Anna back from over a month off and still recovering from a should injury we hit the range for the GBGuns Range Protocol including:
Cold Shots: Truly our first shots through the gun.
Full Magazine +1: Suprisingly some modern guns still struggle with this. It's a test of how much play is in the magazine as well as how the slide cycles with pressure. This is also when I do my best to learn the trigger.
What's For Dinner™: A test to see what ammunition the gun will eat. Does the gun feed the round from slide lock, will it cycle and feed another round of the same type, does the slide lock to the rear on empty, and is there any notable point of impact change with different loads.

Range Ammunition was Fiocchi 115gr $282.99 / 1000 at Firearms Depot
Sights & Trigger Control: on a 6" spinner target at a distance of 12-ish yards. We got this from Titan Great Outdoors and use it to gauge how learnable the trigger is and usable the sights are for forced, timed, precise shots.
Practical Accuracy: Five shots from a distance of seven yards at a one inch target. This isn't so much about printing a tight group as it is a culmination of the shooting experience and time for to collect thoughts prior to making a conclusion.

On the Range we both found the Sig P365 DH3 AXG very easy to shoot. The Romeo-X Compact likely played a role as well since the circle-dot reticle seems to align on target naturally. 23oz may be lighter than what many suggest for the perfect range gun, but this is a gun I would gladly spend all day with in a training course. I've never enjoyed trying to fully load micro pattern magazines, but with a loader that can easily be defeated and doesn't seem to be as big of an issue on longer magazines, possibly because they're empty less often.
In hand the P365 DH3 AXG sits very comfortably and offers a sense of agility while not punishing the shooter for pressing the trigger. Traction felt appropriate without being an overkill. Recoil exists, but doesn't ruin follow-ups. Perhaps the best indicator of that was how easily I ran through the Full Mag+1 segment of the Shooting Impressions video. This is a very enjoyable gun.
Those wanting a similar experience without the drawbacks of the ported slide and with more muzzle energy should take a look at the Sig FUSE which the P365 DH3 AXG mimics in size.
I always enjoy & greatly respect your in-depth, insightful, and highly educated opinions. But, c'mon, Graham. Why do you dilute range videos by comments & assessments of the lady whose thoughts and opinions are based upon blatant shooting errors? Her waist is vertical or leaning back; I see 2.5-3" of rearward movement of her shoulsers with each shot. Her elbows point downwards creating a wonderful vertical hinge; her hands and gun elevate at her elbows. Her left elbow points down much more, causing tracking of her hands/pistol up and left. She tilts her head dramatically to the right rather than bringing the sights/dot up to her eye. Her opinions are essentially useless at this point in her training. I a…
